With guys like Davis Hendrickson and Kendall Hocker dominating the top of Macomb High's lineup, it isn't hard to believe that they are 10-2 after beating Knoxville 12-0 in five innings in their last game.
What are the chances of the Bombers making it past Regionals or Sectionals and why?

Well... I guess I'll start things off by saying the Bombers are very dangerous and have all the potential in the world to make a deep run.
Davis Hendrickson hasn't had as good of a year as many looked for this year since he's getting pitched around so much that one may mistake him for Barry Bonds in his prime, but he's done well for what he's been given in terms of pitches and the rest of his offensive cohorts like Kendall Hocker, Brett Glaser and Evan Thompson have torn the cover off of the ball. Along with that, guys like Mike Pendergast, Chris Arnold and Matt Lawver have done a good job of getting on base and making things happen aside from the aforementioned Bombers raking out of their minds right now.
Pitching and defense are also very solid for Macomb at this point, as Hocker has dominated opposing batters and been helped out nicely by guys like Seth Wickert, Shawn Lotz and Chris Poffenberger.
With Illini West (a team they've already beaten once this year) and West Hanc0ck in their Regional, the road to a Regional title won't be a cake walk. I feel that if they continue to play as consistently as they have once the postseason rolls around, the Bombers will win a Regional Championship for first year head coach Danny Watson.
I would have to imagine that if they do go on past Regionals, they will have to face Beardstown once again this year, making for an interesting rematch after Beardstown's ace and Wright State commit Tanner Howell and Hocker were pitted in an epic pitchers duel that ended 3-2 in eight innings after Jon Blair was brought around to score after leading off with a double to start the final frame.
